Perth is wide. A match in Joondalup and a match in Rockingham can be an hour apart. The fix is simple: pick somewhere central, make it easy to get to, and do not ask anyone to commit to a whole day yet.
Use the free CAT buses
Perth's CAT buses are free within the Free Transit Zone. The Blue CAT runs from the Perth Busport to Kings Park, and the Red CAT links East Perth and West Perth, running late on Fridays and Saturdays.
